As part of the BOW collaboration’s World Health Day 2018, President Paula A. Johnson moderated a conversation between Ophelia Dahl ’94 (a Wellesley College trustee) and Paul Farmer, global health pioneers and the co-founders of Partners In Health. The discussion followed a screening of Bending the Arc, a documentary about their transformative work.

The April 3 event, held at Babson College and co-sponsored by Olin and Wellesley colleges and Babson’s Schlesinger Fund for Global Healthcare, addressed issues and challenges surrounding global health today. President Johnson, a widely respected leader and innovator in women’s health and health care reform, discussed these issues with Farmer and Dahl, as well as their work in health care and human rights.

World Health Day, a global health awareness day sponsored by the World Health Organization, is celebrated annually on April 7.
