When I started at Wellesley College, I had a husband, two children, a house, two cats, and an hour commute.

I look at my life as Before Wellesley (BW) and After Wellesley (AW). The BW person was nice and did not cause waves. The AW person speaks up and is not as concerned about waves. Where I was quiet, I am bold.

When I graduated from Wellesley College, I still had a husband, two children, a house and two cats, but I was a different person. I believed in myself and my capabilities. I had confidence and I liked the feeling.

Some people like the AW person and some people wish I had stayed the BW person. I like the AW person.

That was the Wellesley effect on my life.
